Great save! I also liked that the first boaters through eddied out and were watching the next paddlers come through. Good set up to see an incident and be able to take immediate action. One of my pet peeves... When folks keep on going before everyone exits a drop safely.

A solid rescue, and I think clipping the carabiner directly to the PFD was the right call in this situation. They needed the solid contact point. I also like the use of the webbing, because if they would have just tried to grab the victim and pull, it seems like it would be easy to lose grip once he started to pull free of the kayak.

Good learning video for everyone, inspiring to act calm and fast.

Brims help in that situation.

The life jacket clip in is more complicated, definitely worked here and really the only option but a stouter pin and it might have ripped off no matter how hard he held his arms down. It would be cool to have a clip in point for the torso not dependent on the jacket. The old Lucero had this but haven't seen it since.

what a great team of boaters! They all worked so well together, and the guy pinned was able to remain so calm.
