hoping to get my creek boat from AK to AZ for a GC trip in January.

Anyone have any advice about air travel with 'yaks these days? Flying Alaska Air direct to Pheonix.

Ground shipping may be outta the question from AK.

I am in the Philippines and want my boat. It is over the weight limit on the planes. It is $700 to ship. Should I just throw in the towel and go talk to a garbage barrel producer and get them to mold me a nomad replica out of some cheap plastic?

I will put my sack somewhere going to hit Asian 1st descents in a handmade wooden boat. $700 is too much for a boat that will last me 2 weeks.
