Kayak Instrustruction w/in 6 hr drive of Indy

I got some high school buddies hooked on kayaking during FIBARK. They live in Indianapolis and are jones'n to get their learn on. Can anybody recommend good beginner instruction in TN, West WV or W NC? Somewhere with decent flow in mid-late august.

Thanks in advance,
