The other guys I did not mention were Gold Medal Camps ( - location & timewise it might not work for you (Thogan), but a bunch of Cali paddlers think so much of their instruction that we go every year to their April camp on the Kern. Coaching is from gold medal winner Joe Jacobi (C-2) and Olympic coach Bob Campbell, plus the Long family and other luminaries, can't beat that.
And for folks already in Colorado, they ARE doing a one day clinic in late May in Denver and a 3-day in Glenwood, plus a bunch of camps all over the US through the summer. Don't let the emphasis on slalom scare you off if you are strictly a river-runner type, their instruction is top-notch. Plus, the way it is set up, couples of mixed kayaking ability can get instruction tailored just to them. As you might know, its tough to find instructional situations where the better boater isn't bored or the newer boater isn't scared to death.!!! (Good for teens too.)

Idaho in July is great .... if you're around Boise, the Payette has lots of choices. If you're looking for instruction there, check in with the Long family at Cascade Kayak School ( .... they'll help you out with whatever you are looking for.
