When I talk to boaters about taking a rescue class, I sometimes get the vibe from them that they view it as something they should do, but something that will be a burden or a lot of work on a weekend they could be out having fun.
The truth is that taking the classes ARE a lot of fun!
And taking one is something you will definitely not regret.
Not just the satisfaction you get from having done it, but the training itself is really enjoyable.
I forgot to mention that in my original post, and since I heard today there are still spaces available in the 2 day Mather course in Vail tomorrow, and since I still have some boater friends that need to learn how to save my ass, I thought I would mention the fun part as extra incentive.
