jefe grande

I was wondering how differently this boat paddles from the jefe? I have noticed quite a few people in it that used to paddle the jefe. How does it paddle for someone in the 5'10/175 range?

It sits higher in the water which means that it turns a little quicker and stays on top of the water better through rapids. I'm 6'4" 215 and I still paddle my Jefe sometimes and it paddles well for my size, I just like the room and waterline in the Grande. I would suggest the Jefe for your size unless you are planning on a lot of overnighters.

Im 180lbs 6' I paddle the grande. It makes everything so much easier. I loved the Jefe but the grande is a better step up. It doesn't paddle any bigger in my opinion. Staying up out of the water in big holes and such is a huge benefit. Try one at your local shop.
