I just got a 2012 superstar, special ordered from JK through CKS in Colorado. and although i havent looked at the serial numbers the outfitting isn't at all like yours.
The new boats do not have happy feet from factory, or happy cheeks. there is the JK curved foam bulkhead and seatpad instead. (which i took out for happy cheeks right away. i am keepin the foam for the feet tho....)
there is also a black plastic molded seat track/frame rail with bottle holder on the floor over where your stiffening rod is. (that is what my 2007 4fun had...just the cylindrical rod. it is there to prevent oilcanning by adding stiffness to the hull floor.)
My rope outfitting is black with reflective bits in it, and the pads are black and grey. last year they were yellow and black. the reflective bits are new I think?
The main thing is the boat design tho . you can easily tell the older JK boats by the external design changes. the old old ones (like 2005) have channel lines down the bow. the newer stars are shorter in the stern, taller in the cockpit and more streamlined.thats all i got for ya.
Oh, also the design for the superstar is still the same as 2010, but they're making em new with that same mold.
the new new shit is the rockstar series, which i demo'ed once and did not have a good experience with. leave that boat for the experts. (me not so much)
On my superstar the seat slides on the track with one screw and plastic nut in front of the seat.if you have metal hose clamps, all you do is loosen them, slide the seat where ever you need and tighten em back up. wont hurt a thing. My 4fun had zipties
Maybe its not a 2012? IDK.It looks like 2009 outfitting for sure. most companies sell new shells for warrantied cracked boats. so maybe that was oufitting from a cracked crosslink 'elite' boat, put into a new shell... thats my best guess.
Heres my boat at the Numbers put in the day i bought her, still in plastic
.... and then after i did a run or two and outfitted her with happy cheeks, and happy seat.
Post a pic of the outside of your boat, and was it bought used? either way its a frickin awesome boat.
