Wondering if anyone can point out a good outfitter to work for in Jackson Hole, or - tell me who to avoid. Ive guided and kayaked for over ten years, but never there. thanks
Guiding here equals 12 hour days, 3-5 trips per day on Class II+ whitewater and ridiculously good pay. It would also be cool to guide up in Grand Teton National Park. The money probably wouldn't be quite as good and it isn't whitewater, but its a fun stretch to row and incredibly beautiful.
I'd second what Paddle Iraq says, except that the money is actually better on the scenic stretch in GTNP. I used to work for the one company that had operations on both stretches, and the scenic guides did way better: longer season, higher wages, tips, etc.
