Jackson fun kayak west virginia

Hey everyone, I am planning on getting a jackson kayak package. I live in WV and plan on doing most of my kayaking here. I will mostly be doing river running maybe playing a little. I am 5'10 160lbs 17 years old and probably not going to grow anymore since my dad is only 5'7, im lucky i got to 10". Anyway I need help deciding btwn the jackson fun and the 4 fun. On their site it says the optimum river running for the fun is 155 and for the 4 fun is 160. Then it says optimum weight overall is 160 for the fun and 180 for the 4fun. I plan on only doing river running which should i get. What will be the pros and cons of both. Thanks in advance!

It's tough being in between sizes on a boat. The best advices is to demo both boats and see which you like the best.

I started boating right about your age, I lived up in Bridgeport. You are going to love paddling in your home state, it's some of the best I've been on.

Good choice on getting a river running play boat. You will quicky find you like having a hull that can surf all those waves you've got. And don't fool yourself, you'll be surfing it up your 3 or 4th time on the river.

Enjoy the demo process.

PS. will have a lot more eastern boaters on it. So if you're looking for paddling buddies, check it out there. Also, a paddling club (Three Rivers is a good one) can be a great way to meet people of your own skill level.

Thanks for the help, But I don't think im am going to be able to demo. Somone told me to go with the smaller one because later on I will want a smaller one because of the control but i think the larger would be better for rivers. I dont know, tell me what you think
