What's funny to me is that I've never heard of either sharp edges OR length making a boat difficult to punch holes with. Usually I have the impression that longer boats punch holes better. (especially more pointy boats) Typically, it's the bluntness of the bow that makes a boat violently redirect in a hole and end up in a sudden side surf.
I AM a DragoRossi rep (just to get that out of the way)
I think that the river runner category is the largest one with the largest variety of boats, and just about every mini category that you could think of.
Within the DragoRossi line alone there are three river runner boats that are very different.
Stinger is the spud river runner
Pintail is the longer surfing river runner
Gangster is the more creek boat style river runner
Then there is the spud/creekers like the Ammo and the Scud (funny about that categories trend in names).
Lots of people are still rocking their old Riot Discos for tight low volume creeking.
It might be fun for you to go on Playak.com and use their database to compare a bunch of boats and see if the one you are looking for is not already made.
