I heard a rumor that the Indians (gatekeepers) were fineing people who walked or drove back to the put-in after paying the fee for the day section. The alternative is to float to Gleason Flats.

Can some one verify that this just a rumor? It would be a shame to lose access to a great play spot. Thanks.

Yo Steve, just got to Asheville and the whitewater is good. The Green is a creek boater's dream come true. There is no Hockey league like in Durango, so I need a after paddle hobby insted of boozeing. You should give me the # of your friend who moved here, so I can meet more paddlers in Western NC. Hope its all good buddy!
