Is Dumont worth it?

I've never run the Dumont section of CC or Boulder Creek before and was wondering if it's worth it at the levels they're currently at. Thanks.

Dumont down to I-da-ho Springs is well worth it. Pretty much class IV with lots of sharp rocks from the construction of I-70 as the river bed. Just don't tip over. Scout the Stanley rapid as well as Outer Limits and you should be OK.

I have never run it this low but have been on it 2x at about 650. It is really fun at this level and would be willing to hit it in the 300s. As for Boulder Canyon, it's a good afterwork run. Short, creeky and has a goo IV rapid at the end. Just talked to Zach, I can't make it today for Dumont. Have fun. Call me later this week. ~J

Dave,

I ran 6 pipes down to dumont thursday night and it was totally fun and worth it. I am up for after work runs just about any night if you want to check it out.

Dumont to Idaho Springs is also fun not as steep as the upper part but there are a couple larger rapids at higher flows.

Dan,

The shoulder recovery is coming along a lot better than I expected so I have just started paddling again, i am going to try and do something on clear creek tonight and again either friday or this weekend. Let me know if you and Renee are available??
