If you stole the Jefe...I hope you die in it!

This is post on behave of my good friend (currently computerless). He swam in Bear Creek on Sunday (5/6) afternoon in the weird slide with the hole bottom right. After hitchhicking back up to the put-in with the first car that came by, he drove back down to get his boat, which was roadside by that rapid. His boat was gone. The boat was only there for 5-10 minutes! If you stole the brand new lime green Jefe, I hope karma gets you in the worst way! If you buy a new lime green Jefe for cheap..ask where it came from. Let the buzz begin............

keep an eye on Ebay and Craig's list

keep your eyes open for Ebay and Craig's List for any cheap Jefe's.
There was an incident with a happy ending a month ago in the SE in which people recovered a stolen boat from Ebay. Rare, but you never know. Keep the faith.

Sorry to hear about the loss. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled!

Want to go for round 2 tomorrow on Bear? I would like to meet around noon or in the early afternoon tomorrow, (Thurs)? At 350, I feel like the run is washing out a little more and is faster and more fun. Let's do this!

I would post lost messages where non-boaters can see them (Denver Post?). I would put a sign at the scene too. "LOST KAYAK" in big letters... like those lost puppy fliers you see on telephone poles.

My guess is that some dipshit thought it fell off a truck or something and just put it in their truck, drove off, and doesn't know what to do with it now. Kind of like a dummy who picks up a surfboard on the beach and starts walking away with it while the owner is a quarter mile out to sea, swimming in with a broken leash.

Melrose- I'm definitely curious to know if that CL post was the same boat. We're the ones that gave your buddy a ride back up to his truck- thanks again for the help on our Z-Drag too. Fugging Bear Crick Beatdown.

make sure to check outdoor flea market on wknds and wednesdays for stolen boat!

Check this flea market out. I helped a guy retrieve 3 of his stolen boats that I saw at the flea market. This is a quick way for someone to dump stolen goods without taking the hit. They sell it super cheap to the vendor at the market and walk away with money before it ever hits the public. You'll have to spend some time checking out each booth, there are lots of them! Don't ask why I was there in the first place.Pagel
