Ideal lunch counter wave water levels

I'm wondering what the best water levels are for Lunch Counter Wave on the Snake in WY? Is the guage to view this section the "snake near alpine"?

I could be wrong, but I've always found 7000-9000 cfs on the Snake, Alpine gage ( http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wy/nwis/uv?13022500 ) to be a good level for the river left, seal launch wave. I've also enjoyed the river right wave at flows aroun 5000-6000. Those more in tune with the wave will have better beta.
