I am getting too fat, got trim it down

So on my bike ride I am planning this summer I need to be as light as possible. So I am thinking of not bringing my breakdown paddle and pin-kit cause they are kinda heavy and not necessities, the simple bear necessities.

This ain't a bad idea is it? Most of you I am going to boat with will bring your own correct?

Just need some reassurance that when I break my $450 dollar Werner that you all will have a nice Aquabound waiting for me.

instead of a pin kit bring a couple extra carabiners and bring hand paddles cut out of 5 gallon buckets. still the same gear without sacrificing a bunch of weight.

Just cut off your left leg, that should equal out the pin kit and an extra paddle. You sit most of the time on a bike and in a kayak, who needs two legs, seems like overkill!

Dude, if you're getting too fat, you should add some more stuff. That way you'll trim off the lard by the time you get to the river and we won't have to rescue your ass.
