how to set up oar station

I have been rowing for a few years, am interested in feedback on the art and science of setting up oar towers and general rowing positions.

Did some googling, but not much advice.

Things like how high should the oar towers be, how far from the seat should the oar towers be, how high should the seat be, what is the proper angle for the oar shafts to the water, how long should oars be that sort of thing.

Any rules to follow or is it just what ever works for you?

There have been a series of posts in the Gear Talk section on oars, towers, seat height, and the like. Scroll down a few pages and you'll find all sorts of info.
