Got an infection once in WNC and the doc told me that a med journal reported equal or better results with alcohol and vinegar in place of antibiotics for outer ear stuff. I've used vinegar alone ever since and it works great. Once I got my second ear infection boating, I bought some Doc's and have been fine with them and vinegar ever since. It alters the pH of your ear canal and the nasties can't hack it then.

Plugs

3 years, 200+days on the water, almost always cold water.

Used doc's and they are good.

The ones from NRS with the wire thingy that plugs in to my mp3 player are better.

No probs what so ever.

P.S. contractor's plugs work well for the snoring one next to you.

Now that I think about it I wear muff-tunes at work, plugs at night, plugs on the river...I can actually tell the difference between the sound of my nervous system and the sound of my blood whooshing thru my head.
