How are the Sierras west of Reno in late May?

Thinking of doing a kayaking trip and camping. How is the weather in mid to late may in the Feather river area? Is it buggy, rainy, dry, cold or what? I assume the drysuit is needed since the creeking is from meltoff. Thanks
