The Lyons Whitewater fundraiser is happening this Sunday (6pm) at Oskar Blues in Lyons and I would like to rally all of the female paddlers in the area to come up and hang out. It will be a great chance to meet other female boaters, make some plans for the fast approaching spring/summer and balance out all of the testosterone.
The Scoop:
The event is a fundraiser for a new play-hole in Lyons below the A-hole that will run until OCTOBER due to water diversion that takes place for farms downstream. Tickets are 25$ and that includes a cajun/southern buffet, music (whitewater ramble - bluegrass) and entry into a silent auction - and yes women specific gear is included.
