Here is the Embudo Creek Raft D Video!

Please enjoy this short video of the first known raft descent of Embudo Creek shot by Bryan Houle of Edwards, CO and edited by yours truly - complete with 80s hair soundtrack. Twisted Sister and Dokken - now thats old school!

I wish to thank my fellow raft crew members Dave Lew and Justin Bealor who are guiding with us at 4 Corners Whitewater of Durango CO this season.

Many thanks goes out to Atom who has been so gracious to many paddlers and totally hooked us up. You can even see him join us in the raft in the video for the MJ Falls run! Also thanks to Paul and the crew from Eddyflower, Mike Pagel and everyone else out there for shuttle and that sweet feeling of extra safety.

If you were wondering we didn't swim or portage. We had one minor wrap situation in a rapid called Carnival I think but were able to extract the boat by pushing and shoving a bit. We were very careful to stay far behind all kayakers as to not get in anyones path or block crucial eddys. Anyway here is the footage.

Strong work. That looks like a blast.

I think you picked the wrong size raft though, you should have been in at least a 16.

you punk! I guess I missed the cut for the team. I was down to go.

Anyway, congrats as you add another chapter into your first decent history! Glad to hear you had so much support and that the run was safe and successful. -Ryan

Nice run, way to push the envelope. Now we just need 50 more minutes of great footage for a full length rafting movie.

Good work.

Hopefully your video will encourage other rafters to get out there and run creeks.
