Headed to Chile next week

Headed to Chile next week and would really like to run the waterfalls at the Rio Claro, the Ciete Tazas. Does anyone Know of a place to rent a kayak around there. Maybe in Curico?

I think the water is on the low side of things now. Good luck, take some pictures and share them here.

A friend and I paddled the Claro a little over 3 weeks ago and it was super low. Honestly, I would just drive the extra couple of hours and go run the Laja near Antuco, Chile because it is dam release and will have good water. Near Pucon the Palguin and Trancura will be running and I the Maichin and Puesco may still be in too.

I'm not sure what the situation is now with Siete Tazas, but just after the earthquake it was de-watered:

kayak rentals at Pucon Kayak Hostel


I'm the owner of a young hostel designed for kayakers in Pucon, Pucon Kayak Hostel. If you still need boats then I'm proud to announce that we have one of the best rental fleets in Chile.

Regarding the Siete Tazas: I'm near there in the surf town of Pichilemu at this moment. We too decided to drop the Teacups due to low water. You'd either be seal launching into green water or swimming pools.

Pucon is still holding out well as is typical. Next week we're planning Upper and Lower Palguin, Upper and Lower Trancura, play sessions at two local waves, San Pedro, Llancahue, and Upper/Middle/and Lower Fuy. So, there's still lots to tackle.

If you need on the ground help with logistics then I'd be happy to help you enjoy your adventure.
