here is some vid from a friend's camera on the trip i put up here a few weeks ago on another GG thread. the flows on our trip were around 360 cfs then and done in my 16ft raft, a 13ft,ect. i would not recommend it for noobs on oars, for sure. but look at it and see if it's something you might be able to handle or not. again, excuse the stupid music overlay.
i've always done the horses. with the long drive, long shuttle for a 14 mile run with a sketchy 4wd road, pack in, bigger rafts, ect it's worth it, imo.
if you do go overnight, spend two nights. just my .02. it's allot of work for a short run. spend the time to enjoy it.
the camping you sign up for at the put in the day of the launch. for the salmon fly hatch time and weekends, it can be tough. don't stroll down there the crack of noon during the hatch and expect a open site of your choice. the low water may help abit this year keeping people out but plan for the worst. it's a real cluster fuck that time of year.
