A new webcam is available for public viewing at the Gunnison Whitewater Park near Gunnison, Colorado. The installation of the webcam was part of a larger project designed by Recreation Engineering and Planning of Boulder, Colorado to construct a new whitewater feature and enhance the “75 Ditch” diversion structure in the park. Funding for the project was provided by Gunnison County, the City of Gunnison, the Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, Gunnison County Metropolitan Recreation District, Colorado Healthy Rivers Fund, United Companies, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Gunnison River Festival. The webcam is located near the most upstream feature in the park with local landmark Tenderfoot “W” Mountain visible in the background.
