at these levels i feel that you'd have more fun in the upper gunny gorge.... it was a good play run(S-6) with some very interesting sections at 450cfs last fall.... you will walk many of the rapids at this level, some rapids that are normally run are very difficult to portage, some aren't... they are deceptive(sketchy)...the amount of splat rocks and walls make you giggle...especially in the narrows zone...deep pools and good eddylines and portages to warm you up, as well as the mind blowing scenery!!!.... the shuttle is a bit easier, but you still have to hike up(chukar trial) to your car at chukar camp area...it is running 312 right now with no plans to increase flows yet... call 800-276-4828 for western slope flows...taylor, gunny, lakefork, delores and westwater canyon and the like... upper and lower gunny gorge flows are listed below the GUNNISON TUNNEL.... as soon as it goes 400 or more i will be excited to go playkayaking there again....600+ is creeking in there....800+ is riverkayaking, 1800+ is "full.... on"..... let me know if you are interested in the montrose "playpark"... a seasons pass is cheap at 15 bucks!
