pinemnky is just reminiscing getting stuck in the No Name eddy... took a lot of work to get out. BIG whirlpools and boils there. Big waves at maintenance as Beardance mentioned, but really fun. Otherwise pretty straight forward (right at Glenwood play wave, stay off pylons at South Canyon but pretty much washed out, plan early through railroad bridge, right or left at Dinosaur). No real issues for 3 oar rafts, 1 cat, and 1 paddle raft last weekend. If you go, I suggest running down to New Castle. Even that is less than 2 hrs if you don't stop; the river is running really fast. Water temp is probably 55ish. Minimal eddies, so plan mid-river self-rescue if you eff-up.
