Green Mountain Res Sluice

Has anyone ever run the 170 foot sluice that flows into Green Mountain Res just above the dam? Its about 3-4 feet wide, the water is going about 50-60 mph (maybe faster) and shoots off a little ramp at the bottom. We were throwing rocks in it today and they were shooting out about 30 feet when they hit the bottom.

If it hasn't been done, it would probably make for a pretty good video stunt. You would probably need to use hand paddles or just thick gloves to keep yourself straight. Its too narrow for a paddle. It's roadside.

when you look at the bottom you get the answer to why it hasn't been done.

Maybe it's not obvious at this level, but it's a no-go!

There was too much water in it to see much at the bottom today besides a rocket of water. Does it have rebar in it?
