Grape Creek

A few of us hit Grape yesterday at 125 cfs. I think we'd all agree that a MINIMUM to launch that section would be 250 at the reservoir guage, with 300- 400 cfs being ideal for the paddle in and the paddle out from the Tights. The V section was impressive in character, but manky as all hell. I imagine that at 400 many of those drops would have very serious consequences- scout everything in the Tights very carefully. There are some dangerous features all over the place.

Alex put some photos on www.merelyafleshwound.com - other than the fact that it was beautiful, I'm not in a hurry to get back there....

Been there and done that before and won't do a low water trip in there again. How was the road going to put-in?

The road to the put is was fine.
I agree with Josh on the water levels.

If the link above doesn't work... try this one

You will find the pictures in the Paddling section... check out the 4 foot Bull Snake Gary picked up off bank of the creek.
