OK...I have a permit for the G.C. and I have space for up to 16 people in my group for a March 08 expedition.
I have some slots filled, but have more open.
Group selection is a very important task, that being said, are there any experienced rafters (willing to oar a big raft and carry gear) that would be interested?
The group so far is multi aged, open minded, with many maybes. Selection would be based on experience, attittude and compatibility. I am looking for folks that will add something special to the trip (experience, ability, medical training, safety training, musicians, wilderness cooks, etc.)
I realize that kayakers may be interested, and there will be kayakers on the trip, but rafters are needed to help the kayakers with gear and provide a safer more well rounded group. I am not looking for bus drivers solely and folks that fill this capacity will be treated well and helped greatly in many other ways.
Gear can easily be rented out there so if you row, but do not have the right boat or gear for the trip that will not be a problem. Expenses shared equally. This is a 21 day float starting March 11. No motors. Big water.
Kayakers that are special enough have a leg up, so feel free to contact, just rafters with experience get a plus, plus, plus. Folks I have boated with also get a plus.
Interested parties can email me with a river bio and we can see where things go from there. firstname.lastname@example.org
