Gore Canyon Train Wreck Awardee gets boat back

Went back in Sunday morning with all the frame parts to get my cat back out of the canyon. A few folks to thank:
Lisa and the Timberline gang, Doug and Travis and all who raced, for keeping the race alive and giving me the opportunity to run a little safety- I'll try not to swim next year and lose my boat.
The guy who nailed me perfectly with a bag somewhere above Pyrite- I shook his hand but didn't get his name.
For Keith and Sean allowing me to R3 it out on Saturday with them. Tunnel was fun as hell. Toilet was a non-event. Kirshbaum was something else.
On Sunday- nice to have all the kind and gentle souls from Timberline and their freaked out passengers with us.
For Keith for staying and helping me get my gear out.
For Chris Morrison (see race results) agreeing to R2 it(!) for the first time so that this was possible. Didn't see it but sounds like you nailed Tunnel. Sorry about the swims though. Really Chris, it usually goes better than that.
For Todd who was kind enough to let me borrow the boat parts off his frame- I would have had to hoof it back to Denver otherwise and leave the yellow beast sitting in the canyon.
I elected to watch the cat through Tunnel. She had a good run without me. Toilet was once again a non-event and Kirshbaum was the usual read and run fun.
And it was nice of you Lorrie to wait around to see if we actually made it out of the canyon.
It's a privilege to be involved in river running in the first place, and something none of us should take for granted.
