Gore Canyon Access Road Closure

The access road to Gore Canyon/Blue River/Colorado River Confluence will be closed for construction the week of Sept. 11 for 2 or 3 days. I will update you with specific details when I know more.

If you will be running Gore Canyon, please make other arrangements for putting on the river.

Thanks,

We did that on race day. Just be aware that there is another huge oxbow in the river between the gate and the normal put-in. It adds another two miles of flatwater to the paddle in according to Google Earth.

Gore Canyon Put-in Road Closure postponed

The culvert replacement on the Gore Canyon put-in road will not occur until Monday, September 25th. The access road will be open until Sept. 25th. It will take 2 to 3 days to replace the culverts. The road will be closed from Sept. 25th- 27th. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.
