I only ran one a few times but they are a hoot. Just follow the purple current......

The wonderful thing is that you are about six feet higher than normal and that gives you a great view downstream. I was pretty surprised by how fast you could get from one side of the rio to the other with the tracking. A lot of the time I would park the front oar and just rudder away with the back - to keep one hand free for the beer that is the sweep boat drivers friend.

Things can go to shit in a hurry though. I want to get one just for how much fun it is to run one. Not the best fishing rig though, unless you like drive by fishing.

Nice vid Tyler. I watched it a couple of times too and I don't usually watch a seven minute anything on the intertubes.

Awesome!! I wish I woulda bought a go pro for this river season. MFS is singularly beautiful. you all have a very special home state... I got in at 2.25' in august. best trip Ive ever been on, I cant imagine working it all summer. kinda like the NFL to my little division II Rio grande.
Cant wait to make it to ID again...and I would really like to paddle more rivers then the middle fork next time. Its too far of a drive not too.
heres one snap of me from a friend scouting. August was such perfect weather and flows...I am lucky to have gotten up there at all, much less with decent flow. Love recognizing all the sightseeing spots too. Cool vid man ,thanks!
