Good runs in inflatable kayak

Hi,
I am mentoring a 10 year old. I'd love to take her out on a river run. How are the water temparatures/levels for Golden or Boulder town runs? Does anyone else have any suggestions for runs?

I am looking for something where if she/we fall in, the water temperature will be OK for a swim... Since it's only the 2 of us (although others with kids would be welcome!), I don't think I could go anyplace requiring a shuttle.
