good camping in taos area?

Some friends and I are headed down to the box area this weekend and I was wondering if anyone had some campsite suggestions. Cheap is good, free is better. We would also prefer a site where the sweedish bikini team hangs out regularly and beer flows through a nearby stream.

the take-out for the lower box has good, free camping near the confluence w/the rio pueblo. on the west side of the mesa across tj bridge and up the switchback road are some spots that may work for you also. further down the road towards pilar are pay spots that the blm administers.
