Golden Kayak Park

I live in Utah and I will be coming to Denver for business Nov 2-7. I can drive there and bring my boat if the boating will be worthwhile. What I need to know is-will the Golden kayak park be playable? I will be in a squirt boat. Should I bring my plastic boat?

Golden below 300 CFS isn't anything special. Mostly, it's wet rocks. Bailey, Foxton and Waterton might be flowing though. They're only about 40 minutes from Golden and are definitely more fun than scraping over concrete drops at 36 CFS.
Bring a boat you don't mind scraping over rocks. If you want to add a new opening to your squirt boat, bring that.
Gore might still be running too. I can't tell you what that's like to Kayak as my Mangina aches too much for me to do anything but raft it.

What the hell happened to your face Aaron? I broke, cracked and now have some dead front teeth after going over the handle bars a couple weeks ago, but my lip healed fine. What really hurts is the dentist bill. Between the two of us we look pretty beat up.

That picture is from last September. I found the last possible rock in Waterton Canyon and bashed my face in while I was kayaking. The stiches healed pretty well, there's hardly any scar.

Where did you crack your face in and are you mostly OK?

and aaron, what up? i've been hitting foxton a bunch the last month. let's paddle gore or some steep creeks soon since i almost have a roll in my kayak.

at the current 110 cfs dribbling through golden there is 8-15 inches of water going over most of the drops. if you do end up there and manage to flip upstream while side surfing you'll eat concrete for sure, i did while attempting to surf my tube in the one challenging drop last week. the pools between drops are still plenty deep though. oh yea the water is pretty cold.

dan, i heard of the lost camera, sucks. did you send the shredder into the company yet? Bombproofed the bottom?

arron, didnt know that was you at first with all the bandages. 40's sound cold for the weekend but fri looks alright. the four of us (dans wife being the forth, sorry i forgot your name) should run gore in my 12'er before season ends, if you guys dont mind. i have been fiending to go back since perry and I r-2ed it. i may be able to round up a saftey boater or 2.

I'd be down with doing Gore on friday in a raft. The weather is looking a bit nasty though. It's only supposed to get into the low 50s with a chance of percipitation. Sounds just like a Clear Creek spring

gore sounds great for fri. anyone you want to bring is fine as long as they are competent. i got no one. as usual i would like to have some saftey boaters to drag my ass out of the drink. let me know soon as you can if we are going for sure and i'll see if i can get some.

ED? Dave? Chunderboy, a chance to run with your favorite type of crew, front range rafters. heck you could even strap a life jacket on the li'l guy and bring him along.

I don't have anybody lined up. I'd be thrilled to run in your shredder. We do need a few safety kaykers tho. Do we have any of those yet? I'll see if Rasta wants to come along.
