Glade park potholes --- cutch, other junction boats---

Cutch, we talked on Sunday at Escalante, you mentioned that Glade park potholes maybe running. Ive yet to be to the potholes, so where do I go to get to them? Anything else I should know about the drops other than scout and dont land flat?

THanks

Josh

Hey Josh. Good to see you last weekend again.

I don't really know exact directions to the Potholes. You drive up the monument road and take a right turn towards Glade Park town near the top of the road, which is marked. (It's the side of the road from downtown Junction, not Fruita) Just follow the signs. If you tell the lady at the toll booth that you are going to Glade Park then it is free. When you get to Glade Park stop at the only gas station/store. It's on the right at the only intersection in town. They have a hand drawn map of directions to all of the notable places up there, including the Glade Park Potholes. I literally had to stop and get this map 4 or 5 different times to remember the correct road.

From Junction it is only about 26 miles to the pot holes. They are basic park and huck. The bottom 18 footer is tricky, but good practice. Just don't hit the left wall.

If you still have trouble finding it, just find the Little Dolores Creek, and drive up stream from the main road. This is probably 10 miles after the town. Before anyone asks, no, there is nothing worth boating on the rest of the creek. It's been tried twice and has proven to be a complete waste of time, not to mention illegal.
