I can't believe how many times I got stuck on rocks. A smaller boat would be much better for flows below 1000 cfs. It is doable, but pick your line carefully in Disaster, Triplet, and Hells Half Mile. On our trip, one boat would get stuck, them someone would bump them off and get stuck. It is shallow in spots, so it is hard to get a good stroke with the oars to maneuver and dodge all the rocks.
