Front Range/Tailgate Rodeo Series

Maybe a little early for this question, but all the competition talk got me thinking about whether or not the FRRS will be revived this year. Anyone have details on this? I'd be glad to help organize.

The rodeos for this year are being planned as we speak! Because of the success of last year's Golden Community Rodeo, we will be putting it on again, with a couple of others as well. This has essentially replaced the FRRS - but no one has been displaced - the organizers are almost all the same!

We have not set the dates yet, but the idea is that we will have a few rodeos (most of them in May), with a final rodeo event with an overall winner. One of the rodeos will be the qualifier for the East/West competition at the Teva Mountain Games in Vail (in this case, the qualifier for the East team).

As last year, the general vibe of these rodeos is that we are a community that supports all levels of rodeo boaters! So, we still intend to have a sport, intermediate, and expert class - which means we always welcome the "newbie"! The prizes will again come from the surrounding community businesses (as well as industry prizes) and again, we will have prizes for fun categories like "best swim, best dressed, and burliest boater" - not to mention possible "couple" and "foamies" categories.

These are gauranteed to be fun!

If your interested in getting involved with these community rodeos, feel free to email me dvogen@hotmail.com.
