Front Range Creeks

Anyone know any creek runs on the front range that are running, I don't see any obvious ones on the gauges but there looks to be some water around and I can only hope. If so, anyone want to get a run in today or tomorrow? I can get out of Boulder at 4:30 and be where ever from there.

Bear Creek in Morrison is barely running. It is boat abuse, but it is fun (in my opinion). I cracked an old worn out boat there on Sat. Saw someone else in the parking lot who cracked their boat too so I would recommend taking a boat you don't like.

I paddled it last night and it was fun. Can't go tonight, but there will probably be plenty of people running it after work.

Bear is definitely fun- I also took an old craked Micro 240 with a duct tape weld on the inside. The weld held, so it'll see some more action on Bear and I'll save my Nomad for better flows.

I would say that at the level it was the other night (about 120), the section below the dam was considerably more bumpy that above. If I get back on it before it goes away and it isn't at least 150, I think I'll skip the lower section. Those lower drops are fun, though.

I also noticed that the Source started to creep up earlier this week when it was warm, so if we get another warm stretch you should keep an eye on that run. Bailey should also see flows soon, I would think.

Waterton Canyon is flowing.

The Eagle at Avon isn't exactly Front Range, but it's not too far of a drive. It's only 30 minutes further than Waterton or upper Boulder Creek.

And, I still think confluence at the current levels is great.
