fremont canyon?

has anyone been here/done this? i went looking for pics and this one intrigued me a little....is it a lot of VI with almost no goods?

I remember seeing boaters floating below me when I used to go there to climb. I didn't kayak at the time. That canyon is amazing though. Maybe some Wyo. boaters will step up with some info. All the times I went there I only saw the river run once. I think they divert around that canyon to a hydro plant.

its on the north platte river, below northgate canyon.....it meanders across some flats for a while after northgate before getting stopped by alcova reservoir and then into freemont canyon

Freemont canyon is basically just outside Casper, from what I know it rarely runs and it's a class 2 float with class 6 thrown in a few times.

Hey man, I am up here in Casper, Freemont Has not had enough water to paddle for a few years. They are diverting it for the power. Deer Creek is just south of Casper and is a pretty epic class V run, Boxelder is a little south of Deer creek, and it is a descent class IV run. Plus Tensleep north of here is good class V. These only run in May, so the window is small. If you are in Casper in spring stop in Backcounrty Mountain Works, and i will show you some good runs.

How bout the popo agie up in Lander, WY...except for the whole river disappearing into the ground, is upper sinks runable
