Freestyle Kayaking at the Colorado Adventure Sports Festival

Hi there - just a quick plug for the Colorado Adventure Sports Festival:::

It seems like the flow is at the perfect level for the Gunnison Whitewater Park, where Freestyle kayak events will be held this coming weekend (the 24th and 25th) as part of the CASF. It'll be awesome to see professional athletes push the boundaries of what is possible in our community WW park!

There'll also be a downriver kayak race as well as a boater X, foamie boat races, a 'Big Trick' competition, and a bunch of other dry land events too! Check out the web site at http://www.western.edu/recreation/casf/index.htm for a complete listing of events, and tell your friends!

Thanks, Brian, for your earlier post, and I hope that many of you will be able to make it up to sunny Gunni this weekend.

I've had a few people ask about cash/prizes for winners. Yes, we will have a cash purse (probably $500-700) split between competitors for Men and Women, and lots of cool prizes from the sponsors....

....don't forget your rockstar costume,

Where is the kayak festival June 24-25?
don't know what ICQ number or AIM address are. don't have a website. Interested in obtaining info on kayaking, types of light weight boats to row with pedals for leg action on lakes, smooth ribers. Just moved from So. CA to No. CO.
