Never done the Fractions this low, so I can't comment on that. But I've done Brown's a number of times at this level. Not too difficult (though pretty challenging for rafts this low) but it becomes much more technical, though less pushy, than higher water. Pinball becomes a wicked S-turn under 650 and Raftripper/Widowmaker is pretty bony. Lots of fun. Enjoy!

Upper fractions should be fine since it is pretty narrow.

Lower fractions spreads out and has more rocks. Parts will probably be a pain.

Frogs rock may be tough--not sure. Generally Frog's rock is not dangerous for kayakers because the move to avoid the narrow slot is easy. But, lower water may make that more difficult. You can scout the rapid from the huge rock (aka frogs rock!) by the dirt road right after the tunnels coming from BV.

the large rock next to the road is elephant rock. named after its' resemblance of said mastadon. and as for frog rock, i've been looking for years both sober and otherwise without success. the original founders must've been on something right twisted and wrong to have found a rock that looks like a frog.

My only run down browns so far was in September 05 at 317 cfs.

Pinball was a very fun exercise in boat control.
Zoom Flume was an easy class 3-, I'd say (but shallow)
There were no retentive holes that I found (but I was being guided).

Rafts had to portage Pinball's middle-end.

The fractions would not be fun at this level, all it is is dodging rocks. The lowest I have seen the section is 550 in a raft and it sucks. The only fun parts of the fractions are the miracle mile and the BV play holes. Brown's is good at this level. If you are going to make the trip I would recommend Brown's or the Numbers, at this level it's a 3.

Frog Rock looks like two Frog's Eyes and body sticking out of the water as you approach the drop. Look closely (or broadly rather) and you can see it. It is actually a combination of several of the large rocks there. That's what I see anyhow...
