Fort Collins Pool session

The CSU kayak club (not officially affiliated with Colorado State University, since CSU hates kayakers) is having a pool session Wednesday night from 7:45 to 9:45 at Pulse Athletic Center, which is near Drake and Shields.

We've been having the sessions every week, but not many people have been showing up, so we've decided to try opening one or two sessions to the public. The cost is $7 per person. Pull around to the parking lot in the back. There will be a bunch of huge windows into the pool area, and a door.

One last quick warning. The Pulse pool is pretty shallow (deep enough to loop, but just barely) and not all that big. We're not going to allow more than 15 boats in the water at once. I don't expect that many people to show up, but if they do, it will be first come, first served.

Hey folks, just another heads up that this week will also be open to the public. In fact, I think we'll just keep them open to the public until further notice. Thanks to people that showed up. Your money helps support the CSU Kayak Club Underground.

Also, if you come, please make sure that you rinse out your boat really really well in the large shower before getting in. Honestly. We really want the folks at Pulse to like us, and if we clog up their filter, they will not be happy.

Sorry for the late warning, but we're going to go ahead and pull the plug on this week's pool session. There is too much runoff-in-waiting (a.k.a. snow), roads are slippery, etc. Yes, we're lazy.

If you came last time and still owe us some money (ahem, Xavier) you'll just have to show up next week.

Sorry for the late reminder, but there will be another pool session tonight at the same place.

(I forgot that most of the people on mountainbuzz don't actually paddle; the real paddlers don't need any reminder to go paddling, even if it is only flatwater.)
