Tom, would you define how you mean sprint and how long is long (there's a great joke there somewhere).
I'm trying to move into the 4+/5- category this year, and I want to have both paddling endurance and proper form, so I was thinking of flatwater work. How long should I try to make sprints, and what's the intensity difference between "sprint" and "long paddle".
I do lots of cardio work in the gym, but that's not the same muscle groups as paddling, so I thought I'd work the paddling in, too.
