Flash Flood Watch

FYI.....possibly some good boating thursday morning.

. . . . . Severe Weather Map Link . . . .
http://www.emergencyemail.org/weathermap.asp
. . . . . Weather Radar Map Link . . . .
http://www.emergencyemail.org/weatherradarmap.asp
. . . . . Airport Closing and Delay Link . . . .
http://www.emergencyemail.org/remoteflight.asp

THE NATL WEATHER SVC IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD
WATCH EFFECTIVE UNTIL THUR MORNING. THE WATCH INCLUDES THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES.

IN CNTL CO
NORTHEASTERN PARK.EASTERN GILPIN & EASTERN CLEAR CREEK

IN NO. CNTL CO
CNTL LARIMER

IN NE CO
RURAL JEFFERSON.WESTERN DOUGLAS & CNTL BOULDER

REPEAT THIS IS A WATCH & NOT A WARNING.

THE AREAS MOST THREATENED BY FLASH FLOODING ARE THE HAYMAN.
OVERLAND & PICNIC ROCK BURN AREAS IN THE FOOTHILLS AS WELL AS
VA CANYON NW OF ID SPRINGS. THE URBAN AREAS OF
BOULDER.JEFFERSON .LARIMER & DOUGLAS COUNTIES ARE NOT INCLUDED
IN THE WATCH AT THIS TIME.

ABUNDANT MOISTURE HAS MOVED INTO NE CO TODAY WHICH WILL
FUEL THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS AFTERNOON & EVENING. IN
ADDITION.A RATHER STRONG COLD FRONT WILL PUSH INTO THE WATCH AREA
LATER THIS EVENING BRINGING MORE MOISTURE & UPSLOPE CONDITIONS TO
THE NE CO FOOTHILLS. THIS WILL ENHANCE PRECIPITATION
CHANCES DURING THE EVENING & OVERNIGHT.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.BUT NOT
IMMINENT.WITHIN THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD
KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER & BE PREPARED FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION
SHOULD HEAVY RAINS & FLOODING OCCUR.OR IF A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
IS ISSUED.

I don't have to be at work until 9am- I could be into a 7:30am Bear Creek or Black Rock run.

I'm pulling my gear together tonight.

I know it is nasty but watch for a spike at consluwedge park in denver some epic waves get going above 3000cfs there. Don't flip and keep the lips tight. See there if that comes up PS the street lights make it good to go at night!!

Figures that I'm going to DC tomorrow. Missed Cherry Creek Hole last time it ran too. Last I saw the dam was up too.

The Cherry Creek hole is at confluence. 50 ft up from the confluence, Cherry creek goes down a defunct boat dam that creates the hole when the water is real high.
