Fire left below yarmony
Floated pumphouse down to state bridge two days ago. As I came upon the lone tree camp site below yarmony rapid around 2 or 3 in the afternoon I found a fire that was not put out. In fact it had a bed of coals with fresh cedar wood on top which was smoking and smoltering, not to mention that the wind was gusting towards 30mph. I was astonished to see 6 guided trips in front of me cruise through without even stopping. This camp site is right on the water on top of a long prarie which could have easily set on fire. Absulte disgrace that someone left a burning fire ten feet from the river on a prarie with 30mph wind gusts. It only takes one amber to set that whole area on fire, which I would imagine would then be shut down for the season!
There is no absolutley NO excuse to leave a fire unatended!
