Farmington WW Park - Wanna Go?

I will be in Farmington visiting relatives on Saturday and was pondering checking out the WW Park (never realized they had paddling in Farmington). I noticed that the flow is in the green and the pics I found lead me to believe it's a friendly place to surf. Anyone know anything about this place?

Well, this isn't in's actually in New Mexico, but very close (about an 1 1/2 hours from Colorado). It's near the 4 corners area and it's the Animas River. You can look it up on American Whitewater and get some additional information. Good luck on your relocation.

The park is off the main drag not far from the older downtown...there is a nice park and trail along the river all the way. Finding the entrance/parking lot can be a bit challenging, but there are put in signs and if you find the park and trail, you will eventually find the play spots. It is down the road from the Hampton Inn or some other hotel.

If you are already there, it is worth it. Have fun.

Hey, thanks for the info. I figured it wouldn't hurt since I would be right there. I read the same thing about the tricky location, but I think it will be okay. Thanks again.
