Fall Boating on the Front Range

I'm looking for some advice on where to get wet this fall. I know there is always the Shoshone section and Waterton for a while now, but are there any runs or even holes that are running on the front range this time of year? I'd even be down for a nice pool with a good line to squirt and roll this winter. Thanks for the info Dogs!

That's a rough question. You've got Confluence and Golden. Decent play for Colorado in October (spins and cartwheels). Great eddy-lines. You've got Gore and the Upper Colorado, slightly nearer than Shoshone. Watch for gage spikes from heavy rainstorms and quick melting on the Front Range. And then there's always powderpaddling .

good luck.

my advice; but a pair of skis and pray for snow. fall boating the CO is rough. Gore, shoshone, sometimes upper taos box and a few other runs but honestly its pretty rough.

Royal Gorge will have at least 300 cfs until it ices over in December.
I think it's fun at that level. Sunshine, with that hole super-sticky and tricky to miss, is a good 4.
And if the Wellsville guage is reading 300 to 350, the top hole in Double Drop is a loop machine and good fun. It's about three miles above the Gorge put-in, and it's in all winter.
