i couldn't have said it better myself, i was kind of guessing that he was a compitant class 4 boater but if you arn't comfotable on non big water class 4 I would say don't go up to idaho and try to run big water. I really wasn't that good at IKing I just had low fear and had no problem with swimming, I saw a guy run the NF of the payette in an IK nut, nuts if you ask me.
