We ran it in 2005 on a big snowpack, with the flow increasing while we were on the trip. People who launched the following week had trouble becaause the water was so high on the upper parts, where russian olives overhang the channel, that they got dragged though the thorny lower branches, actually puncturing some boats.
Here's a link to the Pine Creek gage.
USGS Real-Time Water Data for USGS 09337000 PINE CREEK NEAR ESCALANTE, UT
To schedule our trip, I kept an eye on the SNOTEL site, the Escalante gage, and the Pine Ck. gage. For some reason the Pine Ck. gage no longer shows up on the state map (with the colored dots), but it's still operating.
Anyhow it's a great trip.
