encampment road?

anyone know when the road usually gets open to the encampment put-in? any ideas for this year? thanks--steven

My guess is late-May, but call the Riverside Campground folks as they usually know. There number is in the CRC2 guidebook.

Usually not till mid june - may be later this year they've had decent snow. As said, the campground can let you know - or call forest service. There is sometimes a backway that opens earlier but no guarantees.

we got shut out last may and were able to do it in mid june, but like someone said this year there is more snow so it might be july. There was still snow on the road in mid june and a high clearence vehicle is key

Dont listen to Briank, he has no idea what he's talking about. We had to re-name rocks after him his rookie year. All he knows how to do is wet exit like lightening.
